Witty, irreverent, fun-loving and creative. What IS a "Flying Couch?" It serves 2 important functions. One is a place to crash after a hard day, put your feet up, relax and let new ideas flow. 2nd, that same old couch giving you a wild ride after a night of party fun, you gotta put your feet down to make it stop! Sharing beers, trying to remain standing(it was overcrowded!), we wound our way up the twisty mountain road into the heavy fog, excitement mounting with the elevation..

Disgorging from the bus into deep snows surrounding 98 Hall(built for the Nagano Olympics), our happy crew entered the "scene."

Brewer Spotlight/Amager Bryghus, Copenhagen

Amager Bryghus has been making great beer since 2007, which, in craft beer-making history timelines is something akin to the retreat of the glacial icecaps! 

The early beers were so good in fact, that they were exporting to the USA already in 2008. A beer named Hr. Fredriksen(made in honor of a supporting friend of the brewery) was named as a Ratebeer Top-50 Beer in the World. More success followed but always in the original Amager fashion, slowly and organically.
